SOLAS AND VGM: WHAT IS THIS REGULATION?
SOLAS (International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea) and VGM (Verified Gross Weight): Regulations require us to provide all information prior to the arrival of any container at the carrier’s port terminal.
Due to accidents involving misrepresentation of container weights, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has adopted specific standards under the Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) to ensure that they are indicated in the maritime containers.
